Rule 33
Evaluation of seniority
: While giving seniority points to police personnel, a maximum of twenty twenty points will be given at the rate of two points for each year of service in the currently held position. But,
(a) Marks will be given in terms of Damasahi for Chanchun months or days exceeding one year.
(b) Seniority for the period in which Gayalkatti took place will not be given marks.
(c) While calculating the points for promotion in the case of the following police personnel, the service period of the following posts will be calculated and the points will be given:-
(1) The service period of Senior Deputy Inspector of Police and Deputy Inspector of Police when promoted to the post of Police Inspector after the commencement of this Bye-law, the police personnel who were promoted to the position of Senior Deputy Inspector of Police after the commencement of this Bye-law,
(2) Police personnel who have been promoted to the post of Police Senior Constable after the commencement of this sub-rule and who have been in the post of Police Constable since the commencement of this sub-rule shall be promoted to the post of Assistant Inspector of Police. (3) The service period of Police Assistant Constable and Police Constable when the police personnel promoted to the post of Police Assistant Constable after the commencement of this Sub-rule while holding the post of Police Constable at the time of commencement of this Sub-rule.
